金沢市消防出初式のお知らせです。
金沢のお正月の恒例行事である、金沢市消防出初式が今年も行われます。
梯子登りは、江戸時代の火消しが火災現場で状況確認や高所作業の訓練などを目的に行ったものです。
技を披露することで、消防の重要性を伝える役割も担っていました。
この梯子登りを最初に行ったのが加賀鳶で、いわゆる日本の梯子登りの元祖です。
金沢市消防出初式では、市内の消防団によるはしご登り演技や一斉放水など見どころ満載です。
江戸時代より受け継がれる勇壮な「加賀鳶はしご登り」をご覧になってはいかがでしょうか。

Kanazawa’s annual New Year’s tradition
Kanazawa City’s New Year firefighting ceremony will feature Kaga-tobi Hashigo-nobori performances and a simultaneous hose water display.
The Kaga-tobi were a group of firefighters active during the Edo period.
They were known for performing Hashigo-nobiri, an acrobatic display that originated as training for high place.
These performances also were served to raise public awareness of fire safety.
The Kaga-tobi was the first Hashigo-nobori performance in Japan.
Please take a look and experience this traditional display of skill and spilit.
