雪吊りとは、北陸の湿った重い雪から木の枝を守るため、縄で枝を吊る伝統的な作業です。
県内各地でご覧いただけますが、なかでも兼六園の雪吊りは実用的な目的にとどまらず、
仕上がりがとても美しく、金沢の冬を代表する景観として知られています。
庭師たちが軽やかに背の高い木の上を移動し、縄を配っていく姿は圧巻です。
ぜひ、この時期ならではの冬の風情を感じてみてはいかがでしょうか。

Kanazawa winter tradition.
 
Yukitsuri is a traditional technique used to protect tree braches from the heavy and wet snow in the Hokuriku area, and it is a symbol of Kanazaawa's winter scenery.
You can see Yukitsuri throghout the prefecture, but the ones at Kenrokuen Garden are especially famous.
The Yukitsuri at Kenrokuen is not only for its practical purpose but also for elegant appearance.
The sight of gardenerd moving lightly among tall trees and hanging the ropes is truly impressive.
At kenrokuen Garden, this work is carried out from November 1st to mid-December.
